There are other symptoms, such as fatigue, joint or bone pain, seizures, and depression or anxiety. Some people with this disease have no symptoms at all, but will develop things such as malnutrition, cancer in the intestine, and liver disease. About 1 in 133 people in the US live with this disease, and is more common in those with genetic disorders, such as Turner or Down Syndrome. Because of its varied symptoms, this disease is often mistaken for irritable bowel, anemia, or intestinal infections.  There is no actual treatment for this disease, only eating gluten-free foods. However, this diet does heal damage, lessen symptoms, and stop any further damage. This diet does not have to involve eating   bland foods, and there are many delicious recipes available for a gluten-free diet.
